About Us Section
The About Us page is the best place to start when learning about LINKages' as it contains information such as our goals and our "Mission" and "Vision".
Vidoes & PDFs
The Videos & PDFs page is an excellent resource for learning more details about LINKages efforts in the realm of IGPs (intergenerational programs). The following are a few examples of what this page contains:
- LINKages' Videos: The new and old LINKages' videos provide an overview of the programs and include testimonials from both youth and seniors.
- Annual Reports: The annual reports provide an account of LINKages' successes, values, future projects and other important information.
- Logic Model: The Logic Model gives a brief outline of LINKages' goals and desired outcomes.
Programs Section
The Programs section is the main location for information on the different projects that LINKages creates and supports in the ever-present challenge of bridging the gap between generations. The following is a brief introduction to the section and its content:
LINKages takes on a number of roles in the development of intergenerational programs (IGPs); it does this with the knowledge that the benefits of bringing together generations can be experienced in different formats and environments:
- Junior and senior high programs: These programs partner schools with retirement residences and lodges.
- YACS (Young Adults Connecting with Seniors): This program matches students (aged 18 to 25) with isolated or lonely seniors.
- Community Initiatives: LINKages is taking a leadership role in the revealing of the tremendous value of IGPs through its LINK (Linking Intergenerational Needs and Knowledge) program.
Resources Section
Located in the Resources section are an assortment of documents and information that can aid in the understanding and development of intergenerational programs (IGPs):
- Resources: This page contains links to toolkits developed by fellow IGP providers.
- Biography Guide: This book is a keepsake, designed to help seniors remember the details of their lives and to give an easy format to record this important information.
- Research: On this page there are several links to documents, from various sources, that provide information on IGPs.
More Information Section
The More Information section contains resources such as the Contact Us and Site Map pages. There is also information about volunteering and the benefits of doing so.
Donations Section
The Donations section provides the link through which donations are made. Also located in this section is a list of our sponsors and information on what LINKages' financial needs are.
