Programs

Introduction

We aim to create meaningful relationships and our community-based programs are tailored to meet the needs of the youth and seniors alike. Our program staff are dedicated to creating various ways of bringing generations together; one important part of the process involves visiting different schools and community groups to recruit youth volunteers. The youth and seniors are selected in collaboration with our school, community and care facility partners. Youth volunteers participate in training and orientation sessions to learn about seniors’ health issues, care facility policies and procedures, as well as individual expectations.
