LINKages Society of Alberta is a Calgary-based nonprofit organization that provides programs and services to encourage young people to reach out by becoming engaged with seniors in thoughtful and meaningful ways. 

 

We work closely with teachers in the public and separate schools, as well as our community partners, to create a positive introductory volunteer experience for our youth participants.  We also work with care facility staff to ensure our programs meet the seniors’ needs by encouraging seniors to share their experiences with young people.

 

We develop supportive programming to bring generations together.

 

Our Future

In the past few years, we expanded beyond our school programs by implementing new initiatives.  We are in the process of developing a network to exchange ideas on promoting Intergenerational Programming and this is how we hope to bring more generations together!
