We hope to encourage people to develop connections by discovering the stories of our past generations.  We created a Biography Guide to encourage family members to document their family histories and our journal helps families share their life experiences and memories.

A few examples of the Biography Guide responses written by young people when discussing life experiences:

- Life experience:  “had to work when her husband was at war, her mom looked after her little boy… food was rationed.”
- Method of discipline: “ was the strap!!  Wooden spoon on the rear/arm.”
- Amenities:  “the house was heated with wood and coal.  Laundry was done on a washboard… There was no electricity.”
- Memorable school experience:  “boys teased the girls by taking their hair and dipping it into ink wells.”
