Teens and young adults growing in confidence, empathy and community involvement. Elders feeling connected to their young friends, offering mentorship and stories and feeling less isolated. All of us living in healthier, age-friendly communities. This is what LINKages is about and what your donations help us build!

We foster hundreds of intergenerational connections each year (over 700 participants in 2012-13), but the demand from enthusiastic students, schools and seniors keeps increasing and for the last several years we've had to turn potential participants away. This demand tells us our programs and expertise are respected and valued in the communities we touch.

Each student/senior program for a matched school and seniors' residence costs approximately $15,000/year. Funding supports successful recruitment, program development and delivery, student training, structured activities, evaluation and volunteer recognition.
