The success of the YACS (Young Adults Connecting with Seniors) program was encouraging and has resulted in the development of new initiatives aimed at spreading the benefits of IGPs (Intergenerational Programs).

There are many rural communities spread throughout Alberta that are home to a large number of seniors. For the past several years LINKages has been aiding many of these communities in the development of their own IGPs.

LINKages has taken a leadership role in the implementation of IGPs. We have now begun to deliver the material that is necessary to properly run an IGP to those interested in running a program, and to help them with the processes involved wherever it is necessary.
